Melukat is a purification ritual that cleanses the body, mind and soul.
A purification ceremony that involves bathing in holy water to cleanse the body of negative elements from past and present lives. The ceremony is led by a priest and often takes place at historical sites, temples, beaches, rivers, and the sea. The word “Melukat” comes from the Kawi-Bali words “su” meaning “good” and “lukat” meaning “purification”

There are lot of places known for Melukat, lets say the most famous of Pura Tampak Siring, Penglukatan Sebatu, Pancoran Solas at Gunung Kawi Temple, Penglukatan Griya Beji, Griya Sudamala and many more.

You need to prepare an offering called “Pejati” or ‘Canang Sari” as well good smell flower, incense stick which is you easily can find and buy at some warung close to Melukat location.
A donation is also required for the priest who led the ceremony.

Some say that cleansing ceremonies can leave people feeling spiritually cleansed, renewed, and mentally clear.
